We are currently recruiting Nursery Nurses (assistants) to join our successful team

Next Generation Nursing and Care works with a number of childcare settings in and around the Plymouth area, assisting with qualified temporary support staff to cover staff holidays, sickness and general staff shortages.

We are looking for someone to join our team of nursery staff who is enthusiastic, flexible and sometimes available at short notice, along with having a passion for working with children.

We can offer you regular work, Monday – Friday depending on your availability.

If you have:

– An early years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3)
– Experience of working with children 0-5 years
– A good working knowledge of the EYFS
– The ability to work as part of a team
– The ability to plan creatively while following the children’s interests
– A good standard of written and spoken English
– Be able to engage with children in a way that is constructive, fun and meets their individual needs.

Your attitude towards the service users that you look after will help you in building trusting professional relationships with service users, service providers and colleagues alike. You will use your moral compass to ensure that you are always doing right by the persons you support, in every situation. Finally, you will be offering practical and emotional support to encourage independence.

Your role will be varied but very rewarding, with every interaction making a real difference in someone’s life. We will always try to promote continuity in the services you work within which means you will see yourself supporting the same services regularly.

Who you are

To be considered for a position with us, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 6 months experience in the last 2 years, within a care related role
  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be willing to work with complex and challenging individuals
  • Have a good standard of English communication skills
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of service users

Above all the ideal candidate will have a drive to deliver the highest standard of care and a passion to better the lives of the people they look after.
