Minimum Requirements

6 Months Experience

We are currently seeking experienced carers, who have previously cared for children and vulnerable adults. There are several vacancies open, which all require immediate starters on a temp to perm basis.
Our client is looking to add to their established team and would like to attract warm and supportive workers, who have previous experience working in similar roles. Although no qualifications are needed, it’s essential that you have previous experience working with children and young adults with learning disabilities.

The role involves delivering quality personal care, supporting the engagement in leisure activities and the development of life-skills. Maintaining a high standard of care is imperative and a commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults must be adhered to. Despite this role starting off as temporary, there is a strong possibility it will turn into a permanent position for those who are suitable.

CARER/SUPPORT WORKER

Reports to:

Minimum Requirements

  • 12 months experience in a Care Home or similar environment
  • Provide two satisfactory references and undergo an enhanced DBS check before we employ you.

Duties will include:

  1. Assisting with personal care, i.e. washing/bathing, dressing and use of toilet/commode.
  2. Moving/transferring clients as necessary.
  3. Maintaining nutritional needs, i.e. cooking, assisting with feeding and shopping if necessary.
  4. Light household duties to ensure that the client is cared for within safe, hygienic surroundings if that is acceptable to the client; otherwise to ensure that the working area for the Carer complies with Health and Safety Regulations.
  5. Helping to meet the emotional needs of the client and, if applicable, other family members/carers.
  6. Assist in regimes as set up by other health care professionals.
  7. Respecting the client’s wishes and privacy and need for confidentiality.
  8. Promotion and maintenance of independent living.

The care given to clients is to be documented on the Care Plan sheets that are kept at the Client’s/Care Home.

Any change in the client’s condition is to be reported to the Care Manager in the office, who may arrange for a further assessment visit to be made.

Children must not be taken to client’s home. No smoking is allowed on duty.

CARER/SUPPORT WORKER (RETAINED – GUARANTEED HOURS AND GUARANTEED PAY)

Reports to:

BRANCH MANAGER

Minimum Requirements

To be a Retained Worker, you must:

  1. have a minimum of 12 months’ relevant experience in the UK, some of which must have been within the previous year
  2. Provide two satisfactory references and undergo an enhanced DBS check before we employ you.
  3. Be a Car Driver or be able to get to shifts easily and quickly.
  4. Be able to accept a shift within 5 minutes of a phone call from the office.
  5. Not work for any other person or organisation.
  6. Accept any shift offered.
  7. Work Full Time.
  8. Be compatible with minimum 90% of our clients at any one time.

Duties will include:
