At Next Generation in Plymouth and the South West, we recognise that when care providers come to our care agency, they want people who work to the same high standards as their permanent staff.

As a care agency, we set robust criteria for the recruitment and selection of staff because we want to offer care providers the best people, who can deliver the best services and value. To achieve this:

  • all  staff joining us must have a minumum of 12 months’ relevant experience in the UK, some of which must have been within the previous year
  • they must provide two satisfactory references and undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau/Independent Safeguarding Agency Adult First check before we employ them
  • all our staff receive free mandatory training in moving and handling, first aid, health and safety, food hygiene, infection control, medication and safeguarding adults, with ongoing updates.

We believe that incentivising and supporting our staff delivers real benefits to our care provider clients.
